What Is a Character Family?

The Core of a Character City

Have you ever wondered why some families seem to get along happily while others are ravaged by anger, bitterness, and division? Some families, for example, are very poor, yet they have truly successful relationships. Some wealthy families never experience true peace and happiness.

The difference is character.

A Character Family...

...is a family with challenges and pressures; with imperfections, inconsistencies, and needs; with periodic conflicts and failures. But the members of a Character Family have purposed to learn true harmony and genuine appreciation for one another and for those outside the family.

"I have a dream that my four children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." —Martin Luther King Jr.

"The foundations of national morality must be laid in private families." —John Adams
